Ceiling Repair, Hole Patching, Water Damage, Crack Repair & Texture Matching across North Dallas

Those are the five calls we take most. The full list runs to eight services and they are all the same trade: we repair drywall and we do not do anything else.

Drywall is the whole business, not a sideline

Most companies that will patch your drywall also frame, paint, remodel kitchens, and hang gutters. Drywall ends up being the thing they do between the jobs they actually care about, and it shows in the finish. You can see it from the doorway: the soft rectangle around the patch, the texture that is almost but not quite right, the crack that came back along the identical line six months later.

We only repair drywall. That is the entire list. It means the crew that shows up at your house has done your specific repair more times than they can count, and it means we can tell you honestly which of two repairs you actually need rather than guessing.

Most companies that patch drywall also frame, paint, and remodel. Drywall is what they do between the jobs they care about.

Why most drywall repairs fail

Almost every bad repair we get called to fix has one of three signatures, and they are worth knowing about before you hire anyone.

The compound stopped too soon

This is the big one. A patch sits slightly proud of the wall around it, and that transition has to be feathered out over enough distance that light cannot find where it starts. Stop the compound four inches from the hole and you have built a low, wide bump with a defined edge. That edge throws a shadow. Once you have seen it, you cannot unsee it.

The crack was filled instead of taped

A crack is a joint that moves. Fill it with compound and you have put brittle material into a gap that is going to open again, so it splits along the exact same line. It has to be cut open, taped so both sides move as a unit, and floated wide.

The texture was not matched

A patch can be structurally perfect and still be obvious, because your eye finds a texture mismatch faster than it finds a bad float. Orange peel is not one texture, it is a family — droplet size changes with the tip, the pressure, the mud, and how far back the sprayer stood. Matching means matching yours.

What that looks like in practice

A water-damaged ceiling in a North Dallas home. The board came out past the stain, the cavity was checked before anything went back, and the texture was matched to the surrounding ceiling.

Before
The same ceiling rebuilt, floated flat and texture matched to the surrounding surface so the repair is not visible
After

A water-damaged ceiling cut back to sound board. The opening goes past the stain because water travels further through the gypsum core than it shows on the surface — patching to the edge of the stain means bonding to material that has already failed.

What it costs, before you call

We would rather you know this now than find out on the phone.

Free

Virtual estimate

Text or email a photo of the damage and we will come back with a real number. No charge, no obligation, and for most repairs it is genuinely all we need — a clear photo of a hole or a ceiling stain tells us most of what a visit would.

$100

In-person estimate

Credited back against your job when you book with us. If the damage needs eyes on it — widespread cracking, a texture that has to be read in person, water damage where the source is unclear — we will come out and look properly.

Why the in-person one is not free

Because it is not free for us. It is a drive, and it is an hour of a working tradesman's day. Companies that advertise free estimates are not absorbing that cost — they are building it into everyone's price, which means the customers who book are paying for the ones who never do.

We would rather charge the people who need a visit and keep the price honest for everyone else. And if you book, it comes back to you, so the only people who end up paying it are the ones who were never going to hire us.

Minimum job: $300

Our pricing starts at $300 for any job, however small. That is the honest floor.

The reason is that a drywall repair is never just the patch. It is the drive, the floor protection, the cut, the backing, and then two or three coats of compound that each have to dry before the next one goes on — which is why even a doorknob hole is often two visits. A $75 patch does not exist. Anyone quoting you one is either not coming back to finish it or is making it up elsewhere.

If you have one small hole, the honest advice is to wait until you have a list. Multiple repairs in one visit cost barely more than one, because the coats all dry in parallel. That is not a sales line — it is the cheapest way to use us and almost nobody thinks of it.

Why North Texas is hard on drywall

If you have cracks in your walls, you are not unusual and your house is probably fine. We sit on Blackland clay — expansive soil that swells when it takes on water and shrinks when it dries out. The volume difference between a wet spring and a dry August is enough to move a foundation measurably, and every house here rides that movement.

Drywall is brittle. It does not ride anything. It telegraphs, which is why the cracks turn up in such predictable places: the corners of door and window openings, where stress concentrates around a hole in an otherwise continuous wall. Along ceiling seams, parallel to the joists, where tape either holds or gives up. At wall-to-ceiling junctions upstairs, where the framing above and below move on different schedules.

None of that means anything is failing. It means you live here. What it does mean is that a repair has to be built for a wall that will keep moving.

What you get when you call

A straight answer on whether your damage is a patch or a replacement — including when the honest answer is the cheaper one. A price before the work starts. Floors and furniture protected, because drywall work makes dust and pretending otherwise helps nobody. Texture matched to what is actually on your wall. And a clean, usable room when we leave.

Why Us

A specialist beats a generalist on drywall

Drywall repair looks simple until the patch shows through the paint. Here is what we do differently.

Drywall is all we do

We are not a general remodeler that also patches walls. Drywall repair is the entire business, so the crew that shows up has done your exact repair many times over.

Texture matched, not just filled

A patch that is flat but wrong-textured is still a visible repair. We match orange peel, knockdown, and hand textures so the wall reads as one surface.

Clean, contained work

Drywall work makes dust. We mask off, protect floors and furniture, and leave the room usable when we go.

Straight answers on scope

Some damage needs a patch. Some needs a sheet replaced. We tell you which one you actually have before any work starts.

How It Works

Three steps, no runaround

1

Call and describe the damage

Tell us what happened and roughly how big the area is. A photo texted over usually settles the scope in a minute.

2

We confirm the repair and the price

You get the scope and the number before we start. Patch versus sheet replacement, texture type, and how many coats it needs.

3

Repaired, textured, and cleaned up

We cut, hang, tape, float, and match texture, then clean the space. Most single-room repairs are done inside one visit.

FAQ

Common questions

What does drywall repair cost?

Our pricing starts at $300 for any job, however small. That is the honest floor: a repair is never just the patch, it is the drive, the floor protection, the cut, the backing, and two or three coats of compound that each have to dry before the next. If you only have one small hole, wait until you have a list. Several repairs in one visit cost barely more than one, because the coats dry in parallel.

Are estimates free?

Virtual estimates are free. Text or email a photo of the damage and we will come back with a real number, no charge and no obligation. For most repairs a clear photo is genuinely all we need. In-person estimates are $100, and that is credited back against your job when you book with us.

Why do you charge for an in-person estimate?

Because it is not free for us. It is a drive and an hour of a working tradesman's day. Companies advertising free estimates are not absorbing that cost, they are building it into everyone's price, so the customers who book pay for the ones who do not. We would rather charge the people who need a visit and keep the price honest for everyone else. Book with us and it comes straight back to you.

How fast can you look at my drywall damage?

Call (972) 469-5046 and we will schedule as quickly as the route allows. Most repairs in the North Dallas area are booked within a few days, and a texted photo lets us confirm scope before we drive out.

Do you only do drywall repair, or full remodels?

Drywall repair only. Ceilings, holes, cracks, water-damaged sheetrock, patching, popcorn removal, and texture matching. We do not take on full remodels, which is exactly why the repair work comes out clean.

Can you match my existing wall texture?

Yes. Texture matching is a core part of every repair we do. Orange peel, knockdown, and hand textures are all matched to the surrounding surface so the patch is not visible once painted.

Do you paint after the repair?

We finish the drywall and match the texture so the surface is ready for paint. Talk to us when you call about what the specific job needs.

What areas do you cover?

The North Dallas metro: Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Addison, Carrollton, Richardson, Farmers Branch, and the surrounding cities.

Is my damage a patch or does the sheet need replacing?

It depends on the size, the location, and whether the drywall is still sound. Water-damaged or crumbling material gets cut back to solid drywall. We will tell you which one your job needs before starting.
